In the process of educating about native trees, their benefits, and their uses in our community landscape, we have found one overarching challenge — access to native plants. To address this need, we created a community nursery at our Urban Environmental Center.

Plants can be purchased Monday – Friday, 9:00 am—6:00 pm at Citizens for a Better South Florida, located at 3191 SW 21 Street, and during scheduled weekend native plant celebrations. However, as we do run other programs in the community, please call the office at 305-648-0000 to check on plant availability and if someone is available to assist you in the nursery.

The following list of what we have typically stock. We do not update the list every day, so we may be out of stock of some species or have new interesting species not listed. Please call to check on availability.
