March 25 , 2006

Citizens hosted a "Benefits of Trees" educational booth for children at the popular Miami River Day community festival at Jose Marti Park. Numerous groups of children assembled model trees while discussing their benefits. Likewise, Citizens discussed with parents the benefits of trees, particularly native trees, and distributed "Go Native" booklets and "Diez Mensajes Importantes Sobre el Medioambiente de Sur de la Florida” flyers. We also recruited families for the upcoming March for Parks and for Citizens Native Plant Sale.
