Why not Orchid Tree?

Unfortunately the Orchid Tree, with its beautiful flowers, is a problematic Category I highly invasive species that reduces biodiversity and damages native plant communities. Likewise, as an exotic, the Orchid Tree is overly planted in the South Florida landscape. Orchid Tree should be removed from your yard and replaced with an appropriate native.
