Citizens led a tree planting and urban greening game at an Allapatah Community Appreciation Day organized by the City of Miami. Students from various high schools participated in a habitat fragmentation game, planted various trees around Duarte Park, discussed the historical land use of Allapatah, and participated in a "sense of place" art exercise with local artist Xavier Cortada.
