On June 17th, 2005, Majorie Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center hosted the “Discover Biscayne Bay” Film Screening for the winners of a high school environmental film contest. The film contest, sponsored by Citizens for a Better South Florida and funded by the South Florida Water Management District, challenged high school students to make a short (5-10 min) film highlighting Biscayne Bay. The event also included a presentation about Biscayne Bay by Amy Condon from the Trust for Public Land and live music.
