April 16, 2005

Citizens hosted students at Crandon Park, Baynanza 2005 Biscayne Bay Beach Cleaup. Baynanza, now in its 23rd year, is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its importance as one of our most important ecological and economic systems. While Baynanza includes 47 events spanning the whole month of April (and more), the event that has become nearly synonymous with the celebration is the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day. On April 16th, the volunteer event drew over 6500 community activists to remove tons of garbage from our shoreline.
